This work portrays a seemingly frozen event that deals with displacement through the use of otherness as a mechanism of protection, inclusion, exclusion, isolation and connection, It attempts to re-contextualise the viewer’s association with its hybrid subjects by provoking inquiry about how we receive, perceive and imagine physical otherness.

Using Adobe Photoshop software as a printmaking tool, the image is made up of hundreds of fragments of 76 digital photographs by Longin Sarnecki as its source material. Process Capsule Ezri, Day 1 is an 'archive' of the first three days of a drawing performance titled Dust Cover Ezri.

The 'flowers' of the title are not just beautiful but deadly, adapting the masculine iconography of a single weapon of war into an apparition of organic beauty.

Allow a minimum of 10 minutes for effective charging. The work has two states and is to be viewed in both daylight and the dark for full effect.

This image is a metaphor for the external influences that shape an internal dialogue. The rhythmic swirls, drips and dense fog that encase the ear branch allude to the challenging task of processing in a maelstrom of information.

The images used are sourced from toys, games, models and references to childhood from my own collection. One such toy is a model plane of the Enola Gay. This screenprint, sourced from the box, shows an image of young boy happily clutching his toy plane. The surface of the print is embossed with images of the nuclear weapon that was dropped on Hiroshima.
