IMPACTED!

IMPACT7 and the Month of Print may be over but the events definitely produced a huge adrenalin buzz across Victoria. The Print Council committee and staff congratulate Marian Crawford, IMPACT7 convenor (and PCA committee member), and Ruth Bain, IMPACT coordinator, on making the conference and linked exhibitions such a big success. Read more about it in the Summer 2011 issue of IMPRINT, out in December.

Valuable feedback on having the opportunity to view PCA commissioned Prints

I was disappointed to note that on viewing the prints at the Art Museum in Brisbane that I was the first. I went as usual to the Graham Gallery only to find that the recent floods had forced a change in venue. As such I was late in viewing this very fine selection of prints and was informed on querying the secure packaging that i was indeed the first to view. I feel it is a deep shame that others have not taken advantage of the opportunity. Certainly my W.A. friend (whom I have taken photos to send for a better viewing) was frustrated that she could not see them first hand and more so that many in Qld while having the opportunity have not availed themselves .... I'm glad i saw them as it gives another/different perspective than the magazine. I just wish that we had greater wall space to give me the opportunity to purchase more. A job well done with the selection- thank you.
